  • Research experience on drum and bugle corps topics which can be used to create online and physical museum displays

  • Training in website design

PLATFORM

In my past two years on the CAA Board, I used my position as CAA Historian to thoroughly research every known score of The Cavaliers and develop a comprehensive calendar of scores which I made accessible to all alumni. If re-elected, I plan on continuing my historian work by: 1. Developing a catalog of all corps archival holdings which can be made searchable by alumni via an online portal; 2. Conducting oral history interviews with key alumni who were foundational to the Corps' history. With these items, I hope to continue to preserve our organization's rich history for future generations of Cavaliers.

INITIATIVES

  • Develop catalog of all corps archival holdings that conforms to professional archival standards

  • Develop online portal of splooie.info to make a year-by-year history of the Corps available to all alumni

  • Conduct 5-10 oral history interviews with key alumni from Cavaliers history

VISION FOR CAA

I envision the Cavalier Alumni Association as a platform that will be used to bring the many generations of our organization together in brotherhood and understanding. I see the CAA continuing its important discussions on inclusivity and equity within our brotherhood, so as to ensure a future corps that continues to fulfill its mission of cultivating excellent men both on and off the field. This, combined with the CAA's continued efforts in promoting alumni get-togethers and social functions, will allow the CAA to continue to grow in a healthy, sustainable manner.
